It’s such an upsetting thing when you lose something of yours. Even
more so when it’s something you really had a special attachment to.
And especially that which has some special memory of your departed
husband. Having something stolen from you is such an invasion of
your privacy. It can make you feel violated and so upset that someone
else would be so selfish. As a widow, it makes you miss your husband
the more for if he was alive, the perpetrators would not have done
what they did. When you find that lost item or have that item returned, you probably
say a quick prayer thanking Jesus for bringing the item back into your
life. Say these prayers for lost or stolen items when you need to remain
centered and calm when you’ve lost something special to you.
PRAYER OF THE HEART.
Lord may Your grace be sufficient to uphold me, so that I may be comforted and kept by it, not yielding to despondency at any time.
I commit all the dear ones that You have given me, into Your loving hands. Bless them and supply all the needs of their today and future.
O God, meet all my daily needs also and lead me by the way that You desire. I submit myself and all that I have, to Your perfect will. In Jesus’ name I pray.
