Friday Devotion and Prayer – Audio

God,

Sometimes I don’t feel like I have the words to pray. I don’t always know what to say to You. What do I say to someone who is perfect in every way?

Please help me remember that You want to hear from me. Give me the confidence to speak what’s on my heart with You, but help me to do so with respect.

And please let these honest conversations lead me to a deeper sense of awe, wonder, and love for You. Show me how to talk with You, and then make me eager to do it regularly.

In Jesus’ name,

Amen.

Graciously loving Father, I turn to you with confidence and seek your powerful intercession. Hear my prayer as I bring my special intention before you now. I praise you that I am made in your image.

Help me to conquer the temptations of the evil one. Empower me to love you and others with my whole heart. I pray with faith in your desire to listen and faith in your power to act.

Help me to live in accordance with your will for the rest of my days. In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, Amen.
