I offer you these prayers for the dead on behalf of families who have had other members of their families killed in unnecessary, violent deaths.

As they grieve for their loss, let perpetual light shine over your promise as Christ, our Lord and Savior. Let your Holy Spirit come to the families to comfort them during this moment in their lives and bring them the peace they need.
Remind them that you, as the All-Mighty God, lived inside the deepest part of the people’s hearts. For the victims of violent killings, in you lies the mercy of God. Rest in peace.
