If someone asked you this question, what would be your genuine answer? If you are being completely honest, do you know who you are? Do you know your real authentic self? Do you really understand your identity in Christ? It so sad that as Christians, we tend to forget exactly who we are in the Kingdom of God. We wake up, go with the flow of the world, live faithlessly, complain a lot and simply lead miserable life because we do not understand our identity in Christ.
But how does one truly embrace their identity in Christ? Embracing your true identity in the Lord means that see yourself exactly as He sees you. You are who He says you are, not believing the lies of the world. You are fearfully and wonderfully made. You are valuable and special to Him. He made you in His image and willingly sacrificed His life for you. And if God, your Creator, says all these beautiful things about you, why would you choose to believe otherwise? It is important to note that embracing this identity doesn’t just come to us. It take a lot of reading God’s word and meditating upon it, praying and fellowshipping with like minded brothers and sisters in Christ.
