Prayer at the Start of Fasting

Heavenly Father

Thank you for starting today’s significant journey with me. Thank you for erasing fear from my hand and helping me prepare for any challenge that lies ahead.

As I begin with my fast today, I ask for Your Blessing to help me truly experience and understand the importance of my fast, and how, just like the disciples, I can use this time to renew my faith and sharpen my focus once more.

Thank you for the gift of fasting, and that I can follow this journey knowing there are so many rewards in the process.

Amen.
