According to Acts 16:14-15

     “Lydia…was a seller of purple from the city of Thyatira, who worshiped God. The Lord opened her heart to heed the things spoken by Paul. And when she and her household were baptised, she begged [Paul, Timothy and Silas] saying, “If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come to my house and stay.” So she persuaded [them].

This passage shows that, Lydia not only owned her own business but embodied the importance of using our platforms for good. Like Joanna and Susanna did in supporting Jesus’ ministry, she demonstrates that we are all blessed to be a blessing to others.

Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father, today I lift my prayer for my daughter to be successful in life. I know that success doesn’t always mean the perfect job or earning more money and I pray that You will define her life as successfully living for You. Help her to find work that will fill her heart with joy and be an opportunity for her to influence and encourage others. As she learns, makes friends, works, and interacts with others, my prayer for my daughter is that she will find favor in Your eyes because she is choosing to follow You. I pray that she will be diligent and work with integrity in all that she does. Help her to find ways to encourage others to love You. Please provide opportunities for her to see success as she grows in her relationship with You each day. Thank you for providing for her daily needs and I pray that my daughter will recognize that You are the provider of all of her needs. Thank you for the successes my daughter has already experienced and thank you for hearing and answering my prayer for my daughter today. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Daily Prayer of Blessing

My daughter, you are my child whom I love; with you I am well pleased. I love you with all my heart, and so does God!

I speak all good blessings into you as a daughter; I call your spirit to life, breaking every curse spoken or send against you. I speak life into your soul that you may rise up and not fall down.

May you be surrounded with quality friends:

    who build-up instead of tear-down

    who inspire godliness, instead of provoke evil

    who are faithful to you, rather than flighty

    who are passionate about you, not apathetic towards you,

    who don’t compare

    who are not vain

     who will encourage you to guard your heart

I give to you the blessing of my prayers. You are worthy, you are holy, you are blessed, you are wanted, you are loved.

I love you and bless you with the promises of God. You are His and have been set apart from the world for His Holy purposes.

I bless you with God’s everlasting love, wisdom, peace, and joy. I bless you with sexual purity, marital fidelity, and many children of your own.

May God continue to keep His hand of favor and prosper you in all that you do, and may you serve our Lord Jesus Christ all the days of your life.  Amen.
