Introduction

The law serves as a reminder that our actions have ramifications. They help us
avoid doing evil so that we may live a morally good life. If not enforced, they have
no value. Judges, watchdogs, and security personnel are all mentioned in the
word of God. Blessed are the peacekeepers, for they shall be called the children
of God (Matthew 5:9).
While Christ is our heavenly Savior, we have the police or law enforcement
officers to keep an eye on us and uphold peace and order on Earth. It used to be
a tremendous and valued career, but today’s society accepts that many people
will die in the line of duty. There is no coverage of their deaths in the local media.
Offer a prayer for police officers to deal with various risks and hazards every day.

From the Heart of Fr CK;

Apart from this prayer journey, be assured of my prayers all the time.

Father CK

Dear Our Gallant Law Enforcement Officers, I thank God every day for blessing our society with people like you to nip evil in the bud. We can feel safe at home, at work, at the mall, and in the streets, thanks to you. I want you to know how grateful we are for your selfless service. I want to encourage you to remain brave and courageous in the face of the risks and dangers that characterize your job because the One in you is greater than the powers of darkness and evil in the world.

1 John 4:4 assures you that because of this, you have already overcome, even before the challenge arises. Along with the Apostle Paul in Ephesians 6:20, I urge you to stay strong
in the mighty power of the Lord. God’s Word promises, in Isaiah 54:17, that no weapon can defeat you because you are a servant of the Most High God. No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the Lord. While you make our society a safer place to live in, remember the perfect and peaceful Home that our Lord and Savior has reserved for His Saints.
Let us do this journey together irrespective of your religion or culture.
Apart from this prayer journey, be assured of my prayers all the time.
God bless you, brave Officers.

Why Is It Important To Pray For Police Officers?

According to Romans 13, we should pray for police officers. Despite their status
as a ruling body, their power is from God. God is the ultimate judge, yet humans
on Earth choose guards to prevent evil from taking place. We will not receive punishment if we comply with law enforcement. In law enforcement, doing what is right may not always come with a reward. However, we must behave uprightly to keep our conscience pure in front of God and men.

For police officers, it is a privilege when we do the right thing instead of the wrong
one. It is our duty as Christians to resist the temptation to participate in immoral
or wicked impulses, even if they seem appealing at the moment. There are times when evil can seem right. Some partake in it. So, police officers are needed to defend us from this evil, stop crime, and preserve the law. Whenever you see law enforcement officers or hear the police siren, take a minute to ask the Lord to protect them so they can protect our own lives. You can also routinely and frequently recite these brief prayers, particularly if you have a police officer in the family.

Opening prayer

O God our Eternal Father, I may not understand why you have placed within the hearts of courageous men and women the desire to choose a job that demands them to step into danger and risk their lives to combat lawlessness and crime. You, Lord God, have instilled in them a determination to uphold the law in order to safeguard the community they serve. How fearless are they?
Or do they genuinely love their neighbor more than themselves and wish to contribute to the pursuit of justice for all? Only you, God, know for certain what motivates them. I do know that they require a ring of angels encircling them for safety. Each day they confront evil and the adversities of life. They see the worst in others and
individuals at their worst. Their equipment is armed. I pray, O God, that you protect them whenever they approach a car, a residence, or an unexpected scenario, not knowing what dangers lie in wait. If they know you, God, remind them to offer their own prayer of
protection and beg you to intercede against their enemies. Amen.

When a police officer does something wrong or makes a mistake, it creates headline news. They’re surrounded by a sea of gossip and unjust condemnation. Nonetheless, anyone who intentionally harms someone should be punished. Many police officers, however, are decent individuals who put their lives on the line to keep us safe and deserve our prayers for the risk they place on themselves. Thank God for these courageous police officers by saying a prayer for them. Because of their efforts, you and I may have a more peaceful existence in the world.

What We Can Do to Serve Law Enforcement Alongside Prayer

Prayer is a beautiful way to help these men and women. However, we can also
help our law enforcement officers in other ways.

  1. Buy them a cup of coffee when you see them in one place for a long time.
  2. If you see them in a restaurant, pay for their meal.
  3. If a police officer lives near you, offer to help their family if the officer is away
on duty for a long time.
  4. Thank them for their service.
  5. Smile at them.
  6. Donate to a police benevolent fund in your local area.
  7. Look for stories about cops that have gone the extra mile to help people.
There’s a lot of good stories out there. For every story of a cop behaving badly,
there are many where they have helped immensely.
  8. when they are unjustly accused stand in the gap as a witness, and an atony,
    offer pro bono services.

What the Bible says about police

Though the world looks very different than it did in Biblical times, the work of
police officers and people who fight for justice has always been part of God’s plan
for the Earth.
For example, we see in Proverbs 24:24-25 that He commands people to call out
those that claim to be righteous but do “wicked” things: “He that saith unto the
wicked, “Thou art righteous”: him shall the people curse — nations shall abhor
him. But to them that rebuke him shall be delight, and a good blessing shall
come upon them.”
In Proverbs 21:15, we’re commanded to bring down judgment on those who
behave immorally and unfairly: “It is a joy to just to do judgment, but destruction
shall come to the workers of iniquity.”
And in Amos 5:24, Amos compares judgment on those who have sinned to a
stream: “But let judgment run down like waters, and righteousness as a mighty
stream.”
Though everyone interprets the Bible subjectively, many Christians believe that
Amos says in this passage that judgment is as vital to society as water is to the
ecosystem around a stream.
Of course, the Bible also features Saint Michael in the Book of Daniel and the
Epistle of Jude. Saint Michael models the ideal behavior of a police officer, as he
fights for peace, enforces justice, and defends the people of Israel. Naturally,
people often refer to him as the “Archangel for police.

Day 1

1 Peter 2:13-17
Thank you, Loving Father, for always being with us. We pray for police officers,

responsibilities of their profession. We ask that you offer tranquility and clarity
of mind when their task becomes burdensome. There is no more pure source of
joy and peace than you, Lord. You alone are worthy of our adoration and devotion
for all eternity. We praise your mighty name above all other forces on the planet.
Amen. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord.

door to see two fellow officers of their officer standing with grim faces and tears
welling in their eyes as the family falls to its knees crying, “No, God, please no!
Or maybe you hear them wailing, “Why God, how could you do this when they
were only trying to protect our community?” And even, “Lord where were you
when they were dying?”
Lord, how does anyone comfort this family? Like Jeremiah, they wail, “My grief
is beyond healing; my heart is broken” (Jeremiah 18:18 NLT). There are no
human answers to satisfy or soothe their agonizing wounds of grief, anger, and
sorrow.
Only you can Lord. Psalm 147:3 assures us that “He heals the brokenhearted
and binds up their wounds.” And Psalm 34:18 NLT confirms, “The Lord is close
to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed.”
We beg of you to surround them with love. Bring others to their side who have
experienced their pain and understand the deep ache in their heart and will pray
with and for them. Keep away those who patronize and tell them everything will
be all right, because for this family, it will never be all right again.
Father, you know the fellow officers who mourn with the family, especially those who were with the fallen officer. Remove from them the repeated nightmares of

asking themselves what they could have done differently or why wasn’t it them
in the coffin.
Lord you know, that the death of their fellow officer will always haunt them and
the memory will never fade. Father guide them to the help they need to recover
from what they’ve seen and don’t let it cause division among the unit or place
any in danger with fear and hesitancy.
Guide them in keeping their focus on work when they’re on duty and help guard
their minds from the “what-ifs” when they try to sleep at night. Help them rest
and renew their resolve to do their job to the best of their ability.
Father, we know you mourn with both these families. Give them whatever they
each need in their lives. Walk beside them Father. Draw them into your embrace
and fill them with a peace that passes all understanding. For those who don’t
know you, open their eyes to seek you, the only source of relief from their
anguish. Let them feel your presence grieving with them. Your tears. Your hugs.

Daily Declaration for an Officer

No weapon formed against me will prosper.
No instrument of war formed against me will hurt me or be of any use.
Every tongue that speaks evil against me is judged false.
This is my heritage from the Lord. He defends me and gives me victory.
The Lord has spoken! That settles it forever!
It doesn’t matter what the News Report says;
Evil will not touch me, nor come near my home.
God is my refuge … my place of safety … my very own home.
Evil cannot get close to me … harm cannot get through my door.
God has even ordered His angels to guard me and protect me wherever
I go.
God, who is always watching, never sleeping, will never let me stumble,
slip, or fall.
He cares for me. He is my defender and He protects me day and night.
God keeps me from ALL evil and preserves my life.
He watches over me forever!
Amen

Day 17

Psalms 46:1
Ephesians 6:10-11

Dear God,
I’m grateful for those that You have called into the selfless service of law
enforcement.
I acknowledge the mess that society would be without them. Our fallen world is
prone to lawlessness, chaos and disaster.
Thank You for providing faithful men and women to stand against these evils.
Lord, You know the internal and external battles they face on a daily basis. Even
as our police officers risk their lives to protect us, dear God, protect them also.
Be a shield for them according to Psalm3:3. Lift up their countenances and be
their comfort in the face of disheartening circumstances.
Give them the courage and ability it takes to always do what is right and
necessary.

As David declared in Psalm 23:4, I ask that our officers remain assured of Your
presence even in the face of the gravest of dangers.
I ask that they heed Your command to be strong and courageous, confident in
Your promise to be with them wherever their duty may take them, just as You
assured your servant Joshua in Joshua 1:9.

Lord, we need our dear officers to stay brave and strong in seemingly impossible
situations.
Please, keep them reminded, like Paul boldly declared in Philippians 4:13, that
it is in You that they possess the ability to do the impossible.
In cases where they have to make life-and-death decisions in split seconds, Lord,
may Your wisdom and courage shroud our officers.
May they respond to situations in the fear of God, rather than depend on their
own wisdom.
May Your peace be with our police officers while they discharge their duties.
May You enlighten them with Your wisdom and clarity to make sound and moral
decisions at all times.
In accordance with Your Word in Romans 13:4, may they be Your ministers, meting out justice and peace for all.
And Lord, I ask that as they bring order to our society, You keep their homes and families in order.
Provide for them and protect them night and day. May they be epitomes of
morality and virtue.
In Jesus’ Name, I ask these things. Amen

Other Prayers for the Last Day

  1. Prayer
Almighty God, our Father in heaven, I am grateful that Your intentions are to
bring us prosperity and not harm. I plead for the success and well-being of our
police officers, and I ask that you protect them from danger.
Give them perseverance in their job and the assurance that their contribution to
my community’s safety is important. Let us join all the saints, O God, in
proclaiming Your love and majesty. Your deliverance fills my heart with gladness.
    In Your powerful name. Amen.
  2. Prayer
O, Lord Jesus Christ, whose great power and eternal wisdom embrace the
universe! Watch over all the brave men and women in law enforcement. Please,
Heavenly Father, grant them the strength, fortitude, and tenacity to withstand
the unfair censure, danger, and physical abuse to which they are sometimes
    exposed.
I implore you to take loving care of them because their daily assignments can be
perilous. Dear God, please bless these watchmen with Your almighty protection
and reunite them securely with their families when their service is over. Blessed
be the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
  3. Police Officer’s Prayer
Gift Recipient: A Brave Police Officer and Our Loving Father
    Police Officer Prayer:
I am a law enforcement officer.
    A soldier of the law.
To me is entrusted the honor of the department.
I must serve honestly, faithfully and if need be,
lay down my life as others have done before me.
Rather than swerve from the path of duty,
it is my duty to obey the law and
to enforce it without any consideration.
It is also my duty to be of service to anyone
who may be in danger or distress,
and at all times so conduct myself,
that the honor of the department may be upheld.
  4. Police Officer’s Prayer to St. Michael
Saint Michael, heaven’s glorious commissioner of police, who once so neatly and
    successfully cleared God’s premises
of all its undesirables, look with kindly and professional eyes on your earthly
    force.
Give us cool heads, stout hearts, and uncanny flair for investigation and wise
    judgement.
Make us the terror of burglars, the friend of children and law-abiding citizens,
kind to strangers, polite to bores,
strict with law-breakers and impervious to temptations.
You know, Saint Michael, from your own experiences with the devil that the
police officer’s lot on earth is not always a happy one; but your sense of duty
that so pleased God, your hard knocks that so surprised the devil, and your
    angelic self-control give us inspiration.
And when we lay down our night sticks, enroll us in your heavenly force, where
we will be as proud to guard the throne of God as we have been to guard the city
    of all the people.
    Amen.
