25 Days Novena for Businesses: Day 18

PRAY THAT YOU WILL BE PROMISE KEEPER

PRAY THAT YOU KEEP YOUR PROMISES AND FOLLOW THROUGH WITH YOUR ACTIONS

What’s your word worth? When you make promises in your business, do you follow through with your actions? Can you be trusted?

Do your marketing and advertising materials really reflect what you’re selling or are they misleading? Do you promise one thing, then deliver something else? If you’re a service-based business, do your clients trust you to perform a task to their satisfaction, or complete a job at the stipulated time?

As a Christian entrepreneur who seeks to glorify God with her business, it’s really important to follow through on your commitments.

If you struggle to keep your promises, ask yourself why. Are you overpromising? Are you taking on more work than you can realistically complete? Do you have a problem saying no to things even when it’s clear you won’t be able to deliver on your promise?

I know that many of you have good intentions and don’t mean to break your promises, but good intentions aren’t always enough especially when your reputation is at stake. Sadly, that’s just how things work.

So if you are committed to honoring God in your business, you must learn to keep promises. It doesn’t matter whether it’s promises to your customers, spouse, kids, employees, bank, creditors or business partners.

You must be a man of your word, so don’t be too hasty when making promises or giving guarantees. Always double check that you can deliver on a promise before you make it.

PRAYER 

You are a promise-making and promise-keeping God. I can always depend on you completely. Thank you for keeping your promises to me. I know you want me to be careful with my words, to be a promise keeper, and then stand behind them with actions, but I often fail to do so. Instead, I make excuses or claim that I have changed my mind. I have even told people, earnestly and sincerely, that I will pray for them, only to forget their prayer requests. I openly profess that I will be your devoted follower, but then I don’t keep my word. And that sullies your name. Much worse, I have broken promises I made to you. I remember pledging to never again do a certain sin—but I did. I promised to tithe, to read your Word regularly, to serve others, and to boldly share the Good News, but those statements were soon abandoned. Please do what is necessary to mold me into a person of my word, of truth and integrity.

DAILY PRAYERS

PRAYER 1

Heavenly Father, thank you that your word enlightens my eyes, purifies my soul and preserves me for eternal life. Your word says that I can do all things through you who strengthens me. Please give me the strength I need to succeed in business. Bless my work with prosperity for my good and for your glory. May the love of the Father, the tenderness of the Son, and the presence of the Spirit, gladden my heart and bring peace to my soul, today and for all days. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.

PRAYER 2

O Lord, my God, thank you that you are infinitely, consistently and perfectly wise. I ask that you open up your hand and give me success in my business. Bless all the work of my hands and cause me to prosper. May my work glorify you. Hear my prayer, O Lord. Let the majesty of the Father be the light that guides me, the compassion of the Son be the love that inspires me and the presence of the Spirit be the strength that empowers me. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.

DAILY DECLARATION FOR YOUR BUSINESS

Almighty God, I invite You, O God, to be my business partner and show me how to prosper.

I eagerly desire Your blessing and favor upon my home, family and business.  Therefore, as a business owner in this country and especially city, I declare that I will persevere to conduct my affairs with good character, while upholding honesty, integrity and loyalty to those I serve.

I declare that mercy and truth are a trademark of my life and business.

I declare that I am blessed with creative ideas that are anointed for breakthrough.

I declare that Holy Spirit has given me strategies for success.

I declare that You will guide me to make any changes that are needed, including the best location so that my business will prosper.

I declare that You will help me correctly identify people’s needs and how to offer the products that benefit my customer’s needs.

I declare an increase in divine encounters, sales and contracts that increase my business.

I declare my business is blessed to be a blessing to others and is an testimony of God’s goodness in my life.

Thank You, Father, for hearing this prayer and declaration and sending forth Your answers.

(Depending on your business and the type of challenges you go through, you can add a personal prayer here. It is good to appreciate that business men and women go through different challenges. Also, good to note that every Friday of this novena, is a fasting Friday. It is so providential that part of Lent is in this novena. Our Fridays are; 10^th, 17^th and 24^th)
