Today, on the second day of our 40 Days Novena for Family Deliverance, we invoke the name Jehovah M’Kaddesh, which means “the God who sanctifies.” This profound name reminds us of God’s call for us to be holy and separate from all that is evil. Leviticus 20:7-8 emphasizes this divine requirement: “Consecrate yourselves, therefore, and be holy, for I am the Lord your God. Keep my statutes and do them; I am the Lord who sanctifies you.”

Sanctification is a transformative process where God cleanses us from sin and sets us apart for His sacred purposes. It is a call to purity, righteousness, and a life that reflects His divine nature. As we reflect on this, we recognize that our journey towards holiness is not something we undertake alone. It is God Himself who sanctifies us, guiding us away from the influences of evil and leading us towards His light.

Romans 8:6 further enlightens us on this journey, stating, “For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.” This verse calls us to shift our focus from worldly desires and temptations to the guidance of the Holy Spirit. By doing so, we open ourselves to the sanctifying work of God, experiencing the true peace and life that only He can provide.

As we continue our novena, let us earnestly seek God’s sanctifying power in our lives and our families. Let us pray for the strength to consecrate ourselves to Him, embracing His statutes and walking in His ways. May Jehovah M’Kaddesh cleanse our hearts, minds, and spirits, making us holy vessels for His glory.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, Jehovah M’Kaddesh, we come before You today, acknowledging our need for Your sanctifying grace. Cleanse us from all evil and set us apart for Your divine purposes. Help us to keep our minds set on Your Spirit, that we may experience the life and peace that come from You alone. Sanctify our families and deliver us from all that is not of You. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
