Today on the thirty-third day of our 40 days novena for family deliverance, we invoke El-Gibhor, the “Mighty God.” This name, found in Isaiah 9:6, describes the Messiah, Jesus Christ, as a powerful and mighty warrior who will accomplish the destruction of God’s enemies and rule with justice and righteousness.

In Isaiah’s prophetic vision, the Messiah is not only a savior but also a warrior king who brings peace through strength. This dual nature of Christ as both gentle and mighty offers us a profound source of hope. He is mighty to save, capable of conquering sin, death, and every power of darkness that threatens us.

As we reflect on El-Gibhor, we are reminded of the spiritual battles we face in our lives and families. We need the strength and might of Jesus to overcome the forces that seek to disrupt our peace and unity. In every struggle, we can call upon the Mighty God, who fights for us and grants us victory. Let us find comfort and courage in knowing that we have a powerful ally in Christ, who has already triumphed over every adversary.

Prayer

Dear El-Gibhor, Mighty God, We praise You for Your strength and power, for being our warrior and defender. We ask for Your mighty hand to be upon our families, shielding us from harm and delivering us from every evil. Empower us to stand firm in our faith, knowing that You are with us, mighty to save and strong to deliver. Amen.
