Heavenly Father,
We come before you with hearts full of gratitude for the gift of a new day. As we seek your presence, we draw inspiration from the life of Saint Pascal Baylon and the words of Jesus in the Gospel of John (21:15-19).
Lord, in today’s Gospel, we read how Jesus, after his resurrection, asks Peter three times if he loves Him. Through this, Peter is given the opportunity to reaffirm his love and dedication, despite his previous denials. Jesus then commissions Peter to “feed my lambs” and “tend my sheep,” calling him to a life of devoted service and leadership.
Help us, Lord, to hear your call in our own lives. Like Peter, we may have moments of weakness, but we seek your grace to reaffirm our commitment to you each day. May we be faithful in our love for you and in our service to others.
We are also inspired by Saint Pascal Baylon, a humble Franciscan brother known for his deep devotion to the Eucharist and his service to the poor. Saint Pascal’s life was a testament to simplicity, humility, and a profound love for you, Lord. Grant us the grace to emulate his virtues in our daily lives.
As we go about our day, may we, like Saint Pascal, find joy in serving others and see Christ in everyone we meet. Help us to be attentive to the needs of those around us, offering kindness, compassion, and love.
Lord, we pray that you strengthen our faith and guide our actions. Let our love for you be evident in the way we live our lives, just as Peter and Saint Pascal demonstrated through their actions and devotion.
Bless this day, Lord, and keep us mindful of your presence. May we live out your command to love and serve, bringing your light and peace to all we encounter.
In Jesus name we pray, Amen
