Heavenly Father,
As we gather in prayer on this Thursday morning, we celebrate the feast day of Saint Mark, evangelist and author of the Gospel that bears his name. We thank you for the gift of his life and for the enduring message of faith and hope found in his writings.
Lord, on this special day dedicated to Saint Mark, we ask for his intercession and guidance. May we, like him, be inspired to boldly proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ to all people, sharing the message of salvation with zeal and conviction. On this Thursday morning, we also turn to your Word for guidance and inspiration. In the Gospel of Mark, we hear the call of Jesus to repentance and belief in the Gospel. Lord, help us to respond wholeheartedly to this call, turning away from sin and embracing the life of faith with renewed fervor.
As we go about our day, may we be mindful of your presence with us, guiding and strengthening us in all that we do. Grant us the wisdom to discern your will and the courage to follow wherever you may lead.
Bless our endeavors today, Lord, and may the example of Saint Mark inspire us to greater faithfulness and devotion. May we, like him, dedicate our lives to the service of your kingdom, bringing glory to your name and sharing your love with all whom we encounter.
