Heavenly Father,
As we gather in prayer on this Thursday morning, we are grateful for the gift of another day and for the opportunity to reflect on your word and the example of the saints.
In the Acts of the Apostles, we see the boldness of Philip as he proclaims the Gospel in Samaria, and the response of the people as they embrace the message of salvation. In the Gospel of John, we hear Jesus declare himself as the bread of life, inviting all who come to him to have eternal life.
Lord, help us to be like Philip, courageous and steadfast in our proclamation of the Gospel. Grant us the grace to share your message of love and hope with all whom we encounter, that they may come to know the abundant life found in you.
As we reflect on the example of the saints, particularly Saint Apollonius, whose feast we celebrate today, inspire us to live lives of faith and virtue. May we emulate his courage and dedication to spreading the Gospel, and may his intercession strengthen us in our own journey of discipleship.
Bless our endeavors today, Lord, and guide us in the ways of righteousness. May our actions be a reflection of your love and mercy, bringing light to a world in need of your grace.
We ask this through Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.
Amen
